    Hmmm… I’m not sure.

Documentary-wise ideas: Following an artist/band on tour/recording, documenting the ups/downs, the creative process or reaching out to people in a unique sub-cultures that aren’t well known, learning what influences/makes a cultural group/movement, shedding light of what it means to be a part of that subculture

But for a more scripted film maybe a study on teenage identity and the transitional period of high school and the ambiguity of your future after high school and the struggle of not being a kid anymore but not necessarily being an adult. Not being able to be taken seriously because of your age and experience. Would have a really multi-faceted characters, that struggle with gender and sexual identity, explore the pressure of masculinity for teen boys and explore the pressures of “the slut and the virgin” trap for girls, maybe explore mental illness and how our education system isn’t really conscious of kids with depression and anxiety disorders or how our education system has failed with sex education yet has such strong judgement about teen pregnancy.Soundtrack would probably have a lot of karen o and beach house and elliott smith but would have a range depending on tone of the scene and specific characters.

buuuuuuuuut I haven’t really thought about this much before! There are a lot of important conversations on sexuality and gender that I feel should be more evident in our media!

    Excellent!
